Try Dives

Try dives are a fun and easy way to find out if diving is for you. We spend 30 minutes running through all of the equipment before taking you into the pool for an hour to try out SCUBA diving. By the end of the night you should have learnt enough to know how to take your diving adventure to the next step.

Unless stated otherwise our try dives are held on Wednesday evenings between 2000 and 2130 in Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub.

Sub-aqua diving is a sport that requires general physical fitness and good health. Anyone with a medical history of diabetes, blackouts(epilepsy, etc.), perforated eardrums, high blood pressure or heart disease, any lung or respiratory disorder( such as Asthma), or dependence on drugs, may not be able to dive safely and so MUST seek specialist advice before contemplating taking up this sport including a Try Dive

Try Dives are available on the understanding that the person taking part:

  1. Considers themselves medically fit and does not suffer from any of the disqualifying conditions mentioned above
  2. If medically unfit, has obtained approval to dive from a medical referee, ukdmc.org
  3. Will, in the interests of safety, comply with all instruction given to them by the instructor
  4. Is able to swim and is confident in water

There is no upper age limit as long as you are medically fit. Children aged 14 – 18 may also take a try dive with us but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who needs to sign the club’s Try Dive Form on their behalf. The club complies with British Sub Aqua Club Safeguarding Policies with regard to all try dives carried out with minors.
